Today’s reading is Genesis 1-4.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”–Genesis 1:1
There is no more powerful sentence in all of Scripture. There is no more powerful sentence in all of literature. This is the God who empowers us by His Spirit. This is the God whose Son dwells in our hearts by faith. This is the God whose fullness fills us. Can there be anything more exciting than bowing our knees before this Father, pursuing His glory, and allowing Him to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think according to His power at work within us (cf. Ephesians 3:14-21).
